The castle of Carchuna (Granada) is the first fortress in Spain certified in guided tours according to the international standard UNE-ISO 13810:2016 by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE) and audited by OCA Global. After the "Q Night" event, where the diplomas accrediting the certifications during the previous year 2019 were handed out, the Certificate was collected at the ICTE stand together with the Technical Director.
This Tourism Quality Standard is a management tool created specifically for the industrial tourism sector and tourist visits of historical, architectural, social, technological or scientific value, as is the case of the Castle, declared as an Asset of Cultural Interest. Its consequent certification constitutes a differentiating element on the part of the Local Entity Carchuna-Calahonda, providing an added value, improving its image and competitiveness of the guided and/or self-guided visits in this fortress.
