What is it?
The purpose of the National Security Scheme is to create the necessary conditions of trust in the use of electronic media in the Public Administrations.
To achieve this, ENS tries to guarantee the security of systems, data, communications, and electronic services, which allow the exercise of rights and the fulfillment of duties through these means.
Ensuring access, integrity, availability, authenticity, confidentiality, traceability and conservation of data, information and services used in electronic media by the AA.PP. it is the basis for reducing the risks of malicious or illegal actions, particularly cyber threats, errors or failures and accidents or disasters.

To those who provide products or services in the electronic media environment through measures to guarantee the security of systems, data, communications, and electronic services.
The mandatory technical safety instructions are essential to achieve an adequate, homogeneous and coherent implementation of the requirements and measures included in the Scheme and, particularly, to indicate the common way of acting in specific aspects: Report on the status of the security; Notification of security incidents; Security audit; Compliance with the National Security Scheme; Acquisition of security products; Cryptology; Interconnection in the National Security Scheme; and Security requirements in outsourced environments.
