Equality plans
What is it?
Royal Decree 901/2020 establishes the obligation to develop an Equality Plan for all companies with more than 50 employees, those whose collective bargaining agreement provides for it, regardless of the number of employees, or those that have been sanctioned by the labor authority. The rest of the companies can also develop and adopt an Equality Plan on a voluntary basis.
Equality plans are a set of measures and actions adopted by companies to promote effective equality of opportunities between women and men in the workplace. These plans aim to eliminate gender discrimination and promote equal treatment and opportunities in employment, training and professional promotion.
These plans must include a diagnosis of the company's situation in terms of equal opportunities between women and men, as well as specific objectives and measures to address possible inequalities detected.
