Mobile personnel lifting platforms

The UNE 58921 Standard "Instructions for the installation, handling, maintenance, reviews and inspections of mobile personnel lifting platforms (PEMP)" defines a mobile personnel lifting platform (PEMP) as any device with discontinuous operation, specially conceived, developed, manufactured and intended for lifting one or more people, with their manual work tools.

All PEMPs must be inspected and reviewed for the first time before being put into operation, and subsequently must be subjected, in addition to the corresponding annual reviews, to periodic official inspections every three years, or additional inspections whenever exceptional circumstances occur.
