Tower cranes

These inspections are regulated by the Regulation of Lifting and Maintenance Devices (Reglamento de Elevación y Manutención). Periodic inspections are carried out on each installation with the crane disassembled and assembled, and these are valid for 2 years. When the crane is necessary for more than 2 years, a new inspection will be carried out without disassembling it. On the other hand, self-folding cranes – monobloc type – with a rated torque between 15 and 170 kNm, will be inspected every 2 years.

The ITC-MIE-AEM-02 standard is applied in: tower cranes of more than 15 kNm nominal moment, mechanically moved and intended for the elevation and distribution of materials, both in construction and in other applications.
