Fuel farms
Inspections in fuel farms – facilities in which oil liquids are stored – are required since the entry into force of the Regulation on Petroleum Installations (Reglamento de instalaciones petrolíferas). These inspections are carried out periodically every 10 years, with revisions every 5 years.
The field of application of the ITC-MI-IP includes new fuel farms, as well as the extensions and modifications of existing facilities with a bulk delivery system: other storage facilities, installations for the supply of vehicles, and storage facilities for consumption on the same premises.
It should be noted that these types of inspections also apply to storage and supply facilities for aircrafts and ships.
